It's pretty common today for people to have tattoos on their bodies, with many located on their back, shoulders, neck and arms. On a brides wedding day, she really wants to look pure and innocent. Unfortunately, sporting a tattoo at your wedding is not as feminine when teamed up with a white or ivory wedding gown.
Most brides don't have the extra time, money or desire to say good bye to their body art, however they may just want to cover it up for the day, especially for mom or the grandmothers. Some brides believe that if it were up to them, they would have them exposed - however because they respect the ladies that disapprove of the art, they feel compelled to cover them up.
Kat Von D, famous for her television show LA ink has created a cosmetic and fragrance line exclusively for Sephora called Invisible Ink. Her most popular item happens to be the Tattoo Concealer. The concealer is very heavy duty and is perfect for covering up tattoos on your wedding day. Oil-free and paraben-free, this is perfect for those days when you just want to feel flawless. Even if you have no ink to hide away, the concealer is great for under eye circles and other blemishes.

Here's the website for you to check out this great product that I highly recommend.

Often, we turn to the trend setting celebrity's for amazing fashion ideas and inspiration. This year, there's a new trend in bridal headpieces and its from a California company called Bando.com. Inspired by the golden years of Hollywood, they carry an array of gorgeous headbands that can be worn by the bride and bridesmaids.
These headbands are very fashionable and they make a bold statement when paired up with a beautiful wedding gown or bridesmaid dress. They come in a variety of styles, colors and materials to match many wedding styles. All of the wedding headbands are one of a kind or limited edition and are handmade with vintage materials and embellishments. I think they're stunning and I can't wait to see a few brides pictures with these this coming season.

Want to look picture perfect on your wedding day? Here are some easy tips for wedding day beauty:
- Use a long-lasting lipstick. When they first arrived on the market, a lot of the brands were dry and not right for a day full of never-ending congratulatory hugs and kisses. These days we have a new generation of long-lasting lipstick that includes two separate applications; one is the color and the other a moisturizer. Apply the color once at the beginning of the day, and re-moisturize a couple of times to keep lips moist and picture-perfect.
- Tip - Try a few different brands before selecting the right one for the wedding. You need to practice several times, as it can be difficult to apply the color evenly and flawlessly. It's hard to remove, so you'll want to get it right on the first application.
- Use a "spot checker". This could be your Maid of Honor or another trusted person. Ask them to keep an eye on your makeup and tell them to let you know when it's time to freshen up. We suggest one of your trusted gals to hold on to your must have makeup products for the entire day. That way you have access to it very quickly.
- Waterproof eye makeup is an absolute must on your wedding day. Most brides shed a few tears at their wedding. Even if you don't think you're the crying type, with so many waterproof products out there, why take a chance?
- Back up beauty tools - Always have an emergency kit nearby, including powder to pat down shiny noses, a brush/comb, hairspray, bobby pins, lipstick and a sewing kit, along with anything else you think you or your bridesmaids might need in a pinch.
- Test all products out before you use them. You don't want to find out on your wedding day that you are allergic to one of the products.
- Most important Tip - Relax! A relaxed bride is a beautiful bride. A wedding is successful as long as you end up married at the end of the day. Every thing else is just a bonus.

After you've found the perfect dress, you'll need to consider some sort of headpiece.
A bride should never be adorned up with too many things. Always choose a subtle bridal hair accessory that works with the elements in your gown, or balances with your wedding day jewelery.
Selecting a classy hat on your wedding day can be really romantic and attractive. You can wear a Juliet cap or even try a birdcage. Feathers and crystals are always very popular as well.

Bridal hair accessories have the gift to add sparkle and charm to the bride's attire. You must be sensible in choosing the right bridal hair accessory. The final tip would be to keep things simple. If you try to run with too many accessories, you might just ruin your entire look. Stick with simple and elegant. Find something that will compliment your wedding gown and wedding day jewelery.

If you are at a loss as to what to choose for your headpiece or don't even know what hairstyle will work on the wedding day, please email me a photo of yourself and your wedding dress and I would be happy to suggest something for you. My email is weddings@occasionsniagara.com
