A popular trend among brides is wearing flowers in their hair on their wedding day instead of wearing a veil or tiara. Here are some tips that you should be sure to follow in order to wear a flower as beautifully as possible.
One of the first things that come to mind is that it would be better for you to wear a fresh flower because it’s more natural. This is a common misunderstanding among brides who are interested in wearing flowers in their hair. The truth is that it is much better to wear a flower clip or barrette, than a fresh flower. Why you may ask? After a certain amount of time, the fresh flower will begin to look droopy as the day goes on, while a flower clip or barrette will last forever. There is nothing worse than a droopy flower in photos, so it is best to avoid using fresh flowers in your hair. Another option is to have a number of fresh flowers on hand to replace the flower that starts to droop. It could be costly and make wrecks havoc on your expensive hair do.

Brides should also keep in mind that flowers worn in the hair do not seem to go with every hairstyle and face shape. Most hair stylists find that flowers look best with medium length hair and round or square shape faces. This is not to say that people with short hair look terrible wearing flowers in their hair for a wedding. In fact, many people with shorter hair prefer wearing flower clips or some type of clip in order to “spruces up” their hair. Ultimately it comes down to what looks good on you.
One thing that you want to make sure when you do decide if you are wearing flowers in your hair for a wedding is that it matches your wedding day style. Not only is it necessary for it to match your dress, but also it is also important that it goes along with the whole theme of the wedding.
Please be sure to keep all of these points in mind when deciding on wedding day hair flowers.

On your wedding day, you want to look like yourself, only better. There’s nothing worse than a bride wearing a gorgeous gown, in the perfect location, whose hair is so dreadful that guests can’t keep their eyes off of it.
When choosing the style you're going to use on your wedding, brides should always have a consultation with the stylist who will be doing their hair one to two months before the wedding date to ensure that their dream hairstyle fits in with their dream day.
Here are a few things to factor in when deciding your wedding hair style:
- Make sure to carefully choose your stylist – you’ll remember your wedding day forever, so choose someone you trust to style your hair. If your hairdresser doesn’t typically do wedding hairstyles, ask him or her for a recommendation, or speak with friends or other brides who have had hairstyles you’ve admired.
- Make sure to bring your veil or headpiece to the consultation - the veil factors into your overall look and its length and style will determine whether to wear your hair up or down.
- Don’t cut your hair days before the wedding - stay away from the scissors and don’t plan on getting a haircut right before the big day. Instead, do it a month or two prior to the wedding to ensure that you like the cut and it will work with the hairstyle you’ve chosen.
- Don’t experiment with hair color - talk to your stylist about how you envision your hair on the big day, and let your colorist know if you are planning on wearing your hair up or down. It’s also not advisable to dramatically change your hair color before the wedding. You want to look like an enhanced version of you, not someone completely different.
- Try more than one style – just like trying on several wedding dresses, have your stylist show you at least three different looks based on your description of what you want.
- Bring photographs to your consultation - pictures speak louder than words. Gather photos (e.g., from magazines) of hairstyles you like. This will give the stylist an idea of the kind of style you’re seeking.
- Always factor in the dress with your style - your hair should always complement your gown. Select your gown first and then decide on the hairstyle with your stylist.

Often, we turn to the trend setting celebrity's for amazing fashion ideas and inspiration. This year, there's a new trend in bridal headpieces and its from a California company called Bando.com. Inspired by the golden years of Hollywood, they carry an array of gorgeous headbands that can be worn by the bride and bridesmaids.
These headbands are very fashionable and they make a bold statement when paired up with a beautiful wedding gown or bridesmaid dress. They come in a variety of styles, colors and materials to match many wedding styles. All of the wedding headbands are one of a kind or limited edition and are handmade with vintage materials and embellishments. I think they're stunning and I can't wait to see a few brides pictures with these this coming season.

After you've found the perfect dress, you'll need to consider some sort of headpiece.
A bride should never be adorned up with too many things. Always choose a subtle bridal hair accessory that works with the elements in your gown, or balances with your wedding day jewelery.
Selecting a classy hat on your wedding day can be really romantic and attractive. You can wear a Juliet cap or even try a birdcage. Feathers and crystals are always very popular as well.

Bridal hair accessories have the gift to add sparkle and charm to the bride's attire. You must be sensible in choosing the right bridal hair accessory. The final tip would be to keep things simple. If you try to run with too many accessories, you might just ruin your entire look. Stick with simple and elegant. Find something that will compliment your wedding gown and wedding day jewelery.
