When I plan a wedding with a couple and find out that many of their guests are coming from out of town, I always recommend getting maps and directions for everyone. The last thing you want is frustrated guests arriving at the wedding ceremony just as you seal your wedding vows with a kiss.
All wedding couples want their guests to show up on time and not miss any important parts of their day. When looking for something a little different than the old "goggle" maps route, I deal with a company called Trial by Cupcakes; I know, funny name for a company that creates custom wedding maps, however what a better way to let you guests know how to get to your wedding celebration.
All of the wedding maps they create are hand drawn, lettered and painted - nothing is done on a computer. Wedding couples will have a phone consult with the artist to discuss the style of the wedding, symbols, landmarks and words you would like to include. Sketches will be sent to you via email before the final project is completed. The fee that you pay includes the design, original watercolor map, inked and painted on high quality cotton. Couples can reproduce and print the wedding maps as needed and the map designs are so personalized, they end up becoming a beautiful (and frame worthy) keepsake of your big day.
