We understand that the dress can get a little wrinkled on your trip here and we will recommend a dry cleaner that can steam your dress once you arrive in town to make sure it looks like the day you brought it home. We also have companies for tuxedo rentals we can recommend to you.

Tips for Destination Weddings
|
Send a Save the Date Letter
If you are planning on inviting guests, consider a "Save the Date" letter. Invitations are commonly sent six to eight weeks before the event, however with a destination wedding you need to give your guests more notice. Keep in mind they will need to make travel plans and also get time off work to attend. A friendly little form letter with pertinent info (place and date) will do nicely. If you have a hotel you would like everyone to stay at, you should include that as well. You may want to send out a package to your guests about 3-4 months ahead of time, which can include information about the Niagara Falls area, special places to visit, closest airport, and climate. Be sure to include information about the wedding time and type of clothing.
Let Some Things Go
If possible, your destination wedding should also act as a vacation for you both. Try not to get so caught up in the little details that you can't enjoy your time. Figure out what's important to you, and label the rest of it "small stuff" that you won't sweat. That will free you up to sightsee, relax, play, and do what all of your guests are doing!
Plan Your Packing
When buying your dress, get advice on how you should pack your dress for travel. Make sure you have the right-sized suitcase or box ahead of time. If you're flying, plan to carry it on. You may even want to call your airline ahead of time and let them know you'll be bringing it with you. Ask your coordinator for an appointment to have your dress steamed for when you arrive in town.
Make Reservations Early
Many hotels are booked months in advance, especially during peak travel seasons. Encourage your guests to make reservations as soon as they receive the information from you (or as soon as possible).
